Throughout this class, we took notes and notes every single day. Majority of our class time would be creating thinking maps: tree map, bubble map, sequence chart, and etc. We would teach one another the lessons with our teacher nearby to make any correction. This has taught me how to work in groups and increase my social skills on talking. It also taught me not to go off topic in any of our discussion, it was a finish in order to talk type of task.
This group project was done by Philip Phung, Brian Vuu, and I. We had to research on what our senator and representative does and facts about them. The first step I had to do was to research each individual (ten facts about them, issues on each senator or representatives, and what community they serve. When we gather all the information, we had to put it on the poster with the requirements such as no plagiarizing, font has to be 24, and etc. Through out this project, I learned what each senator and representative does. It made me realize how busy a person can be when they're part of a big role. What they have done has inspire me and taught me some leadership skills. It made taught me that it is possible for women to make a change. It showed me how confident they are. One thing I didn't know about Judy Chu was that she taught in East Los Angeles College before.
